Hi,

Ubuntu Forums was the very first place that I have joined in October 31st, 2009 that is related to Ubuntu, GNU/Linux and FLOSS in general. And, it is the very first place that I have learned a lot from. Of course, it is the very first place where I met great and unique people and still working with some of them until this very moment on several projects. It has all started from this place.

Here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1812877

When I started to realize that I need to move to the next level and the next level was joining Lubuntu Team:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad/Lubuntu-Team

After 2 years with tons of achievements with Lubuntu, I decided yet again to take it to the next level:

StartUbuntu was born:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StartUbuntu

And Joined Ubuntu GNOME:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad/UbuntuGNOME-Team

When I felt that wasn't enough, the next step was:
https://www.gnome.org/foundation/membership/

Yet again, I realized I need more and here came:
http://torios.org/

And, few days ago:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntumembers

Yes, it is all started from here.

This is a message to all new people to this forums, those who are still at the beginning of their journey and to those who don't really know the great importance of this place ... I can assure you that without this place, I would never get such Wiki:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad

Because of:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UCADay

I'd like to say:
THANK YOU SO MUCH, Ubuntu Forums.
Thanks a million to all those great, kind, nice, supportive and amazing people who have helped, guided and all ... the list is really long ... thank you!

I had some bitter experience here but the sweat moments are much more so will never let a bad yesterday ruin a great today ...

This is an open invite to everyone over here to work together and believe in Ubuntu Philosophy because trust me, the power of we will never fail.

All of us are smarter than anyone of us!

Thank you for reading this :)

Congratulations to you, Amjjawad. You've accomplished a great deal indeed, and it speaks well for you that you have chosen to thank the Forums and those of us who use, and sometimes contribute to, them.

(And I confess I feel put to shame by how much more you've contributed than I, who joined 3 months earlier than you.)

Hi,

Thank you so much, really appreciate that :)

If truth to be told, my intention is not to make anyone here feel bad or ashamed but the exact opposite. I wanted to inspire people and show them that they could do the exact same or at least follow the same steps. It is not impossible.

Thank you, again :)

Congratulations amjjawad :)

There is of course the option for those who contribute to Ubuntu solely through their work here on the forum - to apply for Ubuntu Membership via the forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=404). Those doing so get all the benefits of normal Ubuntu Membership and a couple of extra's not open to general Ubuntu Members.
