how much space do i need?

Just a quick question, which I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere. I'm thinking about buying a cheap laptop with a 32 gig SSD, removing Windows and replacing it with Ubuntu 14.04. How much disk space does it use?

The default install will work in as little as 8 ~ 10 GB. Any more is up to what you plan to do with it.
