desktop switcher freezes when moving app across
using 14.04 LTS
dual core Intel Celeron 1200MHz, 512K L2 cache
993MB RAM
(can post other memory details of sysinfo)
I have two desktops used
one has firefox, with one tab open
the other has
1) terminal with 6 tabs, two chat processes are active
2) gedit
I noticed my system was running slow, so I turned backup off, this help the memeory footprint, but it didn't solve the switcher problem
I replaced Thunderbird email/usenet and xchat IRC GUI apps, with mutt,slrn and BitchX terminal apps, this helped the memory footprint, , but it didn't solve the switcher problem
even if I just try to switch gedit, it freezes
if I click on a running icon on the launcher it will take me to the desktop with no freeze
