It depends. Sometimes they are a raised, metal, cast emblem that is glued to the side. It could be an American Eagle, a Harley-Davidson Logo, a Peace Symbol, etc. Sometimes they are metal, foil, colored stickers that are attached--company logos, promotional items, etc. You would have to send an email to the manufacturer to get clarification.

For the particular item that you listed, it appears to be an egraved face that looks like an icy road.
