My PC has a mother P5N-MX with Nvidia geforce 7050 integrated Intel Quad 4-core processor and 4GB memory
Last night I tried to install Ubuntu 12.04.5 and I perfect and runs smoothly, when you upgrade to ubuntu 14.04.1 after the first boot the screen goes all colors and hangs completely.

Already I have nvidia driver installed
Kernel Driver in use: nvidia
Kernel modules: nvidia-304, nouveau, nvidiafb

Thank for help.

Hello!

Welcome to the forums.

Rather than cutting and pasting large images in your post, please use the attachment function -- the paperclip icon in the tools above the text input box.

Some users have limited bandwidth and/or data restrictions.

Thanks.

How does 14.04.1 run in a live boot?

Ubuntu 14.04.1 does not work with Nvidia Geforce 7050

I'll have to go back to version 12.04.5, I was seeing that there are multiple users having the same problem apparently.

Do you have a link to a bug report, please?
Is 14.10 better?

Already tried all variants distros version 14.04.1 (lubunutu, kubunutu, xubunutu, studio, etc) and all do the same symptom that I show at the beginning of the post.

12.04.5 version instead of any variant mentioned distros operate without any problem.
I think that being old video card 2007, versions 14.04.1 does not support it properly.

After a bug report gender.

I found the solution !!!

Update the motherboard BIOS and now I have no problem installing and using versions 14.04.1. The screen no longer hangs or exits colors
