Lost my /var/www folder

I have lost my /www directory on /var linux ubuntu server.

any suggesttion to recover my /www folder?

lost? what do you mean by lost? deleted? moved?

otherwise if there was nothing important there just create a new one.

backup is your friend...

I have no idea, lost, deleted or moved.
because I didn't found anything when I check on my log file such deleted or move command

any suggestion to recover my file in that directory, because the file is an application file that contains file php, html, jpg, js, etc?
