I just upgraded to ubuntu 14.04 64 bit from 12.04 64bit. My canon ip2600 printer does not print anymore. It still works on win 8.1

It still works on win 8.1

Good. It means the printer is fine.
In your updated Ubuntu you should just remove it and reinstall the drivers. It should be the same procedure you did before.

Please read again the older thread where you posted. Instructions should still be the same.

I am using a new computer with an intel 64bit mother board. I do not have access to the files on my old computer. Does any one know how to make my canon ip2600 work? What changed from 12.04 to 14.04 to stop it from working?

I gave up on canon and bought a HP 1015. It works fine on ubuntu and windows. Call this thread solved.
