Hi
Can anyone help with this?
I was installing 14.04 along side of 12.04. Everything seemed OK until the install stopped and is hung on the MESSAGE

Creating ext4 file system for/ in partition #7 of SCSI3 (o,o,o) (sda) ... and a grayed out box with the word SKIP

When I push the down arrow, there are many lines of code. The first line starts with -

Sept 30 01:41:10 ubuntu 50mounted-tests: debug: running subtest /usr/Lib/os-probe s/mounted/40Lsb

The last line of the mesage is this

(process:12473): Glib-critical **= g_slice_set_config: assertition 'sys_page_size ==0' failed

Needless to say, I have no idea how to proceed. The spinning icon keeps spinning but nothing is happening and the bow with SKIP doesn't work.

I can't go forward or back from that screen. Is there a way to work around it? Should I do a hard reboot and see if I can restart the upgrade?
I don't know if I've given enough information here, but what else is there to do?

.
