Hi,
I shifted from an OSX box to dual booting with Ubuntu and used rEFInd. After the installation, I setup some other apps in Ubuntu and I encountered a problem that I couldn't resolve so I decided to reinstall Ubuntu. Unfortunately on re-installing.. the rEFInd menu showing the ubuntu logo (caption: load from efi...) only leads to a GNU Grub command line menu.. there is also a Linux logo (Boot Linux from HD), clicking that only gives me a purple screen.. and then there is the reliable apple logo which boots fine. i thought i would uninstall rEFInd (by mounting the EFI boot device and removing the /rEFInd directory) but i wasn't able to remove rEFInd... i would like ubuntu back and would apprecite all the help i can get.
