Hi,

I'm looking for a file manager (that can be used to move/copy files) with thumbnails for images, for a directory tree, that can act as or start an image viewer.

Old versions of Nautilus used to do this, but the current version only shows margins, empty space and a small number of extremely tiny thumbnails, is this still useful for anything at all?

So maybe can I easily install an old version of nautilus on current ubuntu, or is there an alternative file manager/image viewer?

thanks

edit: elmfm has a good information/empty space ratio, but there is no way to zoom (in)

found: thunar is usable, it even can zoom with Ctrl+ Ctrl-, but the maximum zoom is limited

any other viewers with thumbnails?

ok, dolphin can do it, when sele cting "icons" in the toolbar and then "preview", then it can zoom more usefully than thunar
