I recently purchased a new computer that came pre-installed with Windows 8.1. I was looking to install Kubuntu on the machine and attempt to set it up to dual boot with Windows. I went the main website and downloaded the Kubuntu 14.04 iso and burned it to a cd so I can install Kubuntu on my computer. When I insert the CD and set my computer up to boot to my cd/dvd drive Kubuntu begins trying to load and then my screen turns black and there is a bunch of writing that show up and at the bottom it says "Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception exception in interrupt." Can anyone help assist me with this? I would really like to install Kubuntu on this computer. I also downloaded the Ubuntu 14.04.1 iso and burned it to another cd and the same thing occurs. Thanks.
