Hello,
I noticed some weird behaviour on my fresh-install Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.
From the networks settings window I cannot set the slider to OFF to disable the connection: it immediately jumps back to ON.
Is this happening to you also? I remember I could use that slider with no problems in Ubuntu 12.04.
