Wallpaper

Using 14.04 flashback, and although I can select the wallpaper I wish to use, it does not apply it (system settings/appearance).

Solved by enabling Show Desktop in compiz manager.

There is a drop-down menu above where the default backgrounds are displayed and it's possible to select and add backgrounds from the pictures folder.

Thanks. I already knew this, but until I enabled Show Desktop none of them, even when selected, replaced the default wallpaper.
