Upgrade to 14.04 error

On a Samsung 9 laptop with dual boot (Win7 and Ubuntu 12.04) I was trying to upgrade to 14.04.

Everything worked fine for an hour or so but then an error came up - ' rsyslog Tainted : G ' . This lasted for an hour but seemingly solved itself.

But now there is another error: 'Watchdog detected hard lockup on CPU1'. This has now lasted for 4-5 hours.

What should I do?

Coorrection.
Actually the error which corrected itself was efibootmgr Tainted: G

The current error is 'comm: rsyslogd Tainted: G' And a few lines before it said 'Watchdog detected h ard lockup on cpu 1'
