I have connamon desktop on Ubuntu 14.04. When computer goes to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity and when I move mouse I have to log in which I expect. When I login to Cinnamon Desktop, I get another login screen, which I take is the Unity desktop from Ubuntu. Is there a way to only have to login in once on Cinnamon?

I don't know what the settings listed in cinnamon are, but in gnome and unity you can adjust those in brightness and lock so that the screen either doesn't sleep, or when it does it does not lock.

The login screen is just that a login screen from which you can choose which ever desktop session you want, that you have installed.
If, by chance, when you do get that screen does it log you into unity, or into the already running cinnamon session?
