Black screen while installing Ubuntu server

Hi everyone,

I was trying to install Ubuntu server 14.04.1 on my pc.

When I select install Ubuntu server from the main menu I just get a black screen.

I already tried running the install with the nomodeset and acpi=off settings, but no luck.

anyone who can help me.

yes it is, was trying to install Ubuntu on a brand new ssd.
