Hello there,
I tried to upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04 from 12.04 through software upgrade option but when I try to login it gives me an error message no wubildr, then quickly goes to another blank screen with error message like mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on /root failed: Invalid argument and so on. After a few lines a cursor flashes by (initramfs), don't know what to put there. I am a pretty beginner user of ubuntu, I like it very much and don't want to lose my old data. Pls help. I am using wubi though, I have Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit, i5. i have tried to search for the solution to my problem online but they all were different from my situation.
