Hello,

I know im not the only one having this problem and i know, that there are some threads and guides out there. I tried to follow their steps, but it won't work for me. I am very knew to Linux and installed Ubuntu 14.04 as well as Windows 7 on my PC. I currently connected 2 monitors to my PC; the first one is an old BenQ that gets detected from Ubuntu and is no problem at all. The second one is a TV from Toshiba (Toshiba Regza) wich should support FullHD Resolution (1920x1080), but does not get detected by Ubuntu and I can only set the resolution to 1024x768.
I tried to set the resolution manually with xrandr in the terminal, but the monitor is just telling me that it doesn't know the signal type.

I don't know what to do anymore. I know that it can work (it works fine on Windows), but everything I tried did nothing at all.
I would be very glad if you can help me :)

Best regards,
Astobix
