When I try to access the sound settings it opens the system settings windows which does not have any option that involves audio/sound settings.
I am trying to use my bluetooth speakers as the audio output but I can't manage to find the audio settings. Not even using xfce4-mixer I am not able to do this.
thanks in advance!

It should be on the xfce panel on the top bar. if not open settings from whisker menu, go to Panel > items and add indicator plugin.
