native desktop support application

I'm looking at supporting ubuntu desktops in remote locations, and I've been digging around for a solid, logmein-like software to deploy for this purpose. After weeks on Google, I still haven't found a solution that I really like for the task. Does anyone know if there is a native ubuntu-based solution?
