Hello once again ubuntuforums.
I recently decided to upgrade my system from 12.04 to 14.04 and im facing a small problem.
Back in 12.04 I used xrandr to add resolutions and CCC to set them (xrandr and CCC dont mix well) but I could only do this in unity2D. I read a post a whileback about people using 2D as a workaround for this but without 2D I have no way to set custom resolutions for my monitor (VGA if that helps).
Switching to another DE would be a last resort as I really like unity (I havn't a clue why most people ive met dislike it personally I think its fantastic).
I would really appreciate your help if you have a way I can set custom resolutions in unity that wont give me an error;)
