I would like to apply for Ubuntu membership based on forum contributions. I also contribute at askubuntu.com: http://askubuntu.com/users/19421/chili555

Here is my Launchpad page: https://launchpad.net/~wrweston and my wiki: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/chili555

I have signed the Ubuntu Code of Conduct. Although I once received an infraction, I was informed almost immediately that it was a mistake. For a few moments, I relished my outlaw status!

I am grateful for the opportunity to be considered for membership. Thank you.

Hmm.. after Very Thoroughly and patiently examining the launchpad page, and closely examining, evaluating the wiki page, trying Extremely hard to dig out posts to figure out when and who exactly you help, if at all, and how.., I think....

...damn!! I'm late again! 7 support posts already. X( (was 4 when I started typing :( )

PS:
Do you deserve Ubuntu Membership?
Nah, absolutely not! Give him George Castro's empty seat guys, or maybe a higher one in Canonical :p

Knowing Chili555 in the last months, I can vouch in favor that he has helped A LOT in regards to Wireless problems, networking and more, giving the Ubuntu ecosystem a helpful friend when in need. He single-handedly helped in more than 500+ Wireless Answers (http://askubuntu.com/users/19421/chili555?tab=answers) in Ask Ubuntu apart from contributing almost 99.99% of the work and idea for the main answer for the How to install Broadcom Drivers (http://askubuntu.com/questions/55868/installing-broadcom-wireless-drivers)

He has also helped many times on the Ask Ubuntu chats and via email to other Ubuntu users in solving networking issues and of course in the Ubuntu Forums where he has been very active helping others out.

It is my opinion that he has done so much for the Linux community and in benefit to the Ubuntu ecosystem that he has earned a pretty positive position as an Ubuntu member. +1 to him and if you ever need me to vouch in the future, I will not hesitate. People like you are why Ubuntu is so successful as a community. Good luck my friend and hope you get it.

It goes without saying, you have my 100%, unconditional support in your application for ubuntu membership.

It's about time you applied and your membership will be richly deserved.

The amount of time and effort and stiriling results you get deserve a big thankyou from everyone in the community.

Well done !!!
