i have a laptop with windows installed on it. (windows is encrypted and there is some kind of boot partition that is not encrypted).
i installed ubuntu on a 64GB USB stick (not live cd). grub is installed to the usb stick not the main HDD. i always select the drive i want to boot from bios.

all worked fine until recently.
if i start windows and then shut it down properly it will not boot again. shows black screen with mcafee message "EpePC has been corrupted".
if i put windows to sleep, it will resume but after a short while will crash with blue screen. then it will restart to the same "corrupted" message.
however if i boot ubuntu and then reboot to windows it works fine.

any ideas?
thanks a lot
