Since some days I get an annoying nag screen warning me that I can / should (I cannot clearly understand what is the purpose of this screen) upgrade to trusty tahr from my 12.04 LTS that should be still valid for a year or so.

How do I get rid of this for me useless warning that pops up every morning?

Hello! =)

- Launch the Software Updater
- Go to the options menu
- In the "Updates" tab, you should have an option for notifications, which you can switch from "LTS versions notifications" to "never"

This is how it works in 14.04. It might be a little different on 12.04 but not too much. I hope you can find it.

As far as I know, ubuntu 12.04 will be supported till 2017.

What is the screen warning you are talking about?, could you attach some image?-
