I have a loptop on which I dual boot Ubuntu 14.04 and OS-X Mavericks. The two were co-existing quite nicely until two nights ago when I decided to update the Ubuntu software.
Since updating the Ubuntu software through the update manager I have not been able to boot into OS-X Mavericks without using the USB Installation medium.
I have tried: 'sudo update-grub', repairing the boot loader and Restoring OS-X Mavericks from a Time Machine backup, but none of these measures resolve the issue. I am now looking at reinstalling Ubuntu; but before I take that big plunge, I am seeking the help of my Ubuntu family members.
Does anyone know how to correct this issue? Any assistance is appreciated.
