I have loaded MATE as my desktop environment in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (I hate Unity) and I'm having a few hiccups

1) can't get the sound indicator to appear (in the Unity DE it does) (I've loaded the MATE volume control on the panel, but it's not the same).

2) can't get autokey-gk to load as an indicator without automatically showing its window onscreen

Thanks in advance!

1. Mate doesn't have the Unity like sound indicator. It remains to be seens if Mate devs can and will implement something like that in future releases. Meanwhile, there is a simple sound indicator that should do.

2. Autokey-gtk is not an indicator, it's a UI, so if you don't want it, don't autoload.

PS: Happy hating. :p
