What version of Firefox can be installed on Ubuntu 9.04

What is the most recent version of Firefox that can be installed on Ubuntu 9.04? I know someone who has been using this computer for about four years. He doesn't want to upgrade the operating system. I think he presently has Firefox version 3.5.

Highest version of Firefox which works on Ubuntu 9.04 would be Firefox 17. To use Firefox 18 or newer, you need at least Ubuntu 10.04.

Thanks Dennis. Firefox version 17 was released on December 3rd 2012. If I get him to this version he should be good for a few more years.
