I've been running Ubuntu 12.04LTS since it was released. It's been amazingly stable and it's also represented my first real attempt at using a "real" OS. During that time, I've managed to get a functional mail/web/ftp server up and running and, frankly, it was a huge undertaking given my unfamilairty with Ubuntu/Linux. Nonetheless, there were a lot of good how-to and helpful forums out there and I feel as I've learned a great deal.
14.04 has now been released and, in fact, 14.04.1 was supposed to be released yesterday. I was under the impression that I'd be presented with the opportunity to upgrade some time yesterday (though I'm not sure there's anything in 14.04 that will benefit me) so I thought I'd wonder in here and see what I may have overlooked.
Running gnome-fallback on 12.04 and no option to upgrade through the normal update manager.
