Install on microSDHC for dual boot in android tablet

Would anybody know how to go about setting up a dual boot with an android tablet along the following lines:

I would like to install Ubuntu tablet edition on a microSDHC that I will add to the tablet.
I would like the tablet, without the microSDHC, to continue running android.

The analogy is to a traditional computer with two hard drives - one hard drive for windows, another for ubuntu.

My hope is to also be able to go to the microSDHC directly from android upon booting the device if needs be.

Is there a guide on how to do this? Or would anybody know a way to start? I have a laptop that runs ubuntu that I could use to facilitate this.

That is actually Ubuntu Touch, still very much in development and has been for awhile, and while they say it is stable, will be tricky to get support when it breaks. Do you have one of these devices?

That's it for the moment that appears to be it so I would forget what you are trying to do unless you are handy with code and willing to take on the job of doctoring the Ubuntu Touch code to work on your device. If you are, you should probably be working with the UT dev team!
