hi!!!
I've installed docky (its similar to cairo dock) software on my ubuntu 14.04.
So I successful hide the ubuntu unity launcher on the left.

the problem is, when I maximize a window it lets the menu space empty like in the picture I add here.

anyone has a solucion for this? I want to cover that empty space when I maximize a window.

thanks!

How did you hide it?

Have you tried this?

I think the issue is with Docky

I know nothing about Docky's settings ability, but if it has one, look through it to seem how it is set.

for what it's worth, I used to use cairo-dock and unity, much like you had or want to have it, and full screen was perfect.

So, there is that.
