hello everyone,
I'm trying to install Ubuntu on my windows 7 computer with Virtualbox.
Everythings works alright. I can run Ubuntu from the CD (mounted), but it's a bit slow,
so i just want to install it. And at this point it doesn't work anymore. I choose install and then
i get the message that my computer has no detected operating system and if i want to install Ubunt,
everything on my disk will be erased. Ofcourse i don't want to do that. So what's the solution for this?
Thanks!

And at this point it doesn't work anymore.

Sorry, but that's a bit "vague" -- what is "it" that doesn't work?

You need to tell us the EXACT error message you're seeing, paraphrasing it doesn't help us.

Are all these messages inside the virtual machine, or are you booting the real computer to Ubuntu?

Are you now wanting to install Ubuntu dual-boot with Windows rather than as a VM? This is all a bit unclear ... :-k
