Damaged Laptop Screen

I just tried to run an update on my laptop, but my computer screen is damaged. On my second monitor I can see the log in space and type in my password. but one I hit enter nothing seems to happen. I can still see the log in user names and but can't type a password or select. If I press escape it lets me continue as normal.

I tried hitting function F4, which normally switches my monitors around, but no luck.

Any other suggestions?
