I have recently aquired a simple but very elegant computer, advertised as a tablet, but designed more as an AIO.
The software that I need is available for Windows, MAC and Linux, but not for Android.
It currently runs Android JellyBean 4.2.2 and I would like to install Ubuntu 14.04 alongside Android or instead of it.
I don't care whether the machine, a Xoro MegaPad 2151, has to be rooted or not.
However, I have not been able to find out how to root it.
Several suggestions have been tried, along with various apps and guides through YouTube and other sources.
I have also not successfully been able to install Ubuntu, although again numerous ways have been tried.
I would be interested in discussing this with anyone who can lead me in the right direction.
As it is, the computer is little more than an attractive 22" digital photo frame.
It can't even print reciepts from eBay.
Please help...
