How do I reinstall ubuntu with all programs and personal data.
I need to reinstall ubuntu, because my ubuntu randomly started going to sleep on boot, and Ive messed with the configs so much nothing will work.

Restore your personal data after reinstalling. Usually it is best to keep personal data on a separate partition you can install the system to the root partition without affecting it. I'm not sure what 'programs' you are referring to but if the configuration files are messed up, would the programs not be also? More details on exactly what you are working with and want to accomplish.

I wan't to have choice of the programs to keep. I have 10GB worth of programs and files that did not come with ubuntu, I don't wanna have to reinstall all of them.

Check out AptOnCD which allows you to create a record of all the apps you have installed such that you can reinstall them easily.
