i downloaded ubunto on my usb drive and tried installing that way....currently the only thing on my laptop is windows 8, which will not load anyways because it crashed and i dont have a restore cd or backup. so i tried installing ubunto and selected the first option to wipe the hard drive and install, since windows 8 is fried anyways. halfwaya through i get an input/output error, i click ignore over and over until i get this error "the creation of swap space in partition #4 of SCI1 (0,0,0) (sda) failed. does anyone know how to fix this? i dont have 5 partitions, all i had was my C: drive when i had windows. which should just be the entire hard drive....
