I eaily got trillian 0.74 to run under wine. The problem is that after 0.74 was discontinued Microsoft changed the way their messenger works. As far as I can see wit's working with aol/yahoo/icq and irc but because its running in wine the interface can't be moved around very well and there is a box around the GUI.

I did like trillian when I was a windows boy but usability wise I think I'll stick with the native Linux ones. Msn is my main messaging network anyway.

Has anyone been able to get the latest Trillian working?

I tried, gave me some errors, continued using gaim.

I now prefer gaim over trillian.

i tried this about a year ago in SuSE 9.3 and decided that it worked like crap and that Wine is crap anyways. Since then, I have not used Wine, and I have only begun to use Trillian again since we use AIM to communicate at work where I use Windows. I have a Pro subscription, so I'm glad to be using it back in Windows at work, but at home in Arch I use Gaim.
