I just installed ubuntu yesterday and would love to get started in using it but im having one OS breaking bug and one annoying bug. It seems like once I boot Ubuntu and start an application, everything will work fine, but then, i will open a second application, and i wont be able to switch from using one window vs the other, my mouse clicks simply won't do anything on the window that is no longer active, and clicking on the task bar doe nothing as well. I also have a bug with my multitouch trackpad on my macbook pro where the trackpad wont detect my thumb at the bottom, so when I rest my thumb at the bottom of the trackpad as I'm used to doing, the mouse won't move because it thinks my thumb is the moving finger. my computer specs are as follows

Macbook Pro 11,3 (Late 2013 15") 64 bit
Processor:Core i7 (I7-4850HQ) 2.3 GHz 4 cores
Multitouch Trackpad
Mac OS 10.10
Ubuntu 14.04

to clarify when I say unable to switch from one window to the other, I mean that all mouseclicks outside the active window are unresponsive
