how do I make my current desktop resolution permanent

I am using ubuntu 14.04 I have adjusted my screen resolution to where I want it to be. I have read a number of topics and ask ubuntu (each one with multiple solutions) All I want to do is to make the current permanent. Xrandr tells me:

Is there a simple way to do this?

No answer but I subscribed to this thread because I'm also wondering :confused:

I use arandr personally and it gives both my screens the same resolutions and desktops they had on last boot. It's in the repositories (Software Centre), then you'll find it in Settings.
