View Full Version : Ubuntu Server installation freeze

June 7th, 2014, 06:01 PM

Today I got my new HP N54L microserver and I want to use Ubuntu Server.

At first I have to choose a language and then choose "Install Ubuntu Server", until then everything works correctly. After that I have to choose a language for the OS, but from this point the installation is frozen or at least doesn't accept any input.

I tried different USB ports for the keyboard and the usb device. I also tried different ISOs and tools to create a bootable usb device.

Before I choose "Install Ubuntu Server" I could choose more options with F6 and I read, nomodeset and acpi=off(I think it was called so) worked for some people, but that makes no difference for me, the installation still won't continue.

Does anyone have an idea what I could try?

EDIT: I can not try a CD because I swapped the CD drive with a SSD.

P.S.: I am german so pls don't mind grammatical mistakes :)
