I have been using Ubuntu dual boot since about 2008 without a problem. I can boot into Ubuntu but not Win 7
.
After searching the forum could not find an applicable answer.

The familiar boot screen does not show at first. An option under Ub boot (Windows 7 loader on dev/sda1) does bring it up and was able to get into Win 7 About 10 times.

There was an option after install for grub.

Now the repair asks for the installation disc. The HP tablet/notebook does not have a disc drive and I don't have an install disc.

I can get into the boot directory if that would help.

Neil.

Hello there nlneilson. I'm not sure to understand the issue here. The grub loader doesn't show the option to run windows? Have you upgraded or made a fresh installation of ubuntu 14.04? Which kind of hardware is it involved? An option after the install.... for what? Which repair is asking what, but more importantly... when? What does it happen when you turn on your computer?
