deja-dup-preferences - can not backup button is greyed out

hello,

i am trying to do a back up of my systemm adn i have found that deja-dup is not working properly.

it shows the gui wtih command:


deja-dup-preferences


but the buttons are greyed out.
even though i have not changed anything since my last back up - which is done against a NAS that uses SMB protocol

any suggestions on how i can resolve this?

it turns out the problem is solved after an update
