Can't install Ubuntu

Hi everyone, I just finished building my PC today and wanted to install Ubuntu from a flash drive. I have downloaded the latest version and run the USB Universal Installer. Then I went into my new systems bios and tried booting from the usb. However all that happens when i try to install it is I get a black and white screen with a list of numbers and some other giberish that I don't understand, can someone please help me and tell me what I need to do. Thanks.

Tell us exactly what type of BIOS it is and other info on your system.
Check checksum of ISO you downloaded, if it is corrupted or not can defined form there.

Also, try using different program to create bootable. Like unetbootin?

You might also want to check if that stick is booting on different machine or not.
