View Full Version : [ubuntu] Files Dialog New Tab Not On Top

In the Ubuntu Files dialog in Unity (since at least 12.4) I right click on one of the "Places" ("Devices" in 12.4) and select the option "Open in New Tab". Since the only reason I would open a "place" is because I want to do something with the contents of that place it seems to me that the new tab should open at the front, but it does not. I have to click on the new tab to bring it to the front before I can do anything with or even see its contents. I believe that this behaviour is unintuitive and negatively impacts on productivity and I would suggest to Canonical product management that they consider changing this default behaviour. In the mean time is there a tweak I can apply to cause new tabs to be opened in the front?
