Hey All,
I'm hoping some one out there has given this a shot and has some tips for me. I'm trying to replicate a windows rdp feature on linux. Basically I want to my local desktop session to follow me when I'm remote and back again when I'm local again.
Using google I've fond what I think are the technologies to make it happen but I'm not sure if I've understood everything correctly or not.
The idea is this.
Use vnc connected to xdmcp for login locally
The connect via xrdp to that same session using randr to accomodate for the different resolution of my home machine.
I've considered using NX but I wasn't too thrilled with the way it worked and I'm using RDP because it uses less bandwith than VNC.
I've found some documentation online but not 100% clear on how to use VNC and XDMCP locally.
Has anyone tried this or have any pointers.
