Anyone looking to install 14.04 on a HP split don't do it!!
I am experiencing endless trouble, some consistent troubles and some that come and go. At the moment I can hardly use the machine as:
1) The operating system text on is 1mm high,
2) Touch pad does not work 95% of the time,
3) I am getting freeze ups so have lost work, have to save every 2 min just in case.
4) Mouse randomly will not work / appear.
5) Music players will not remember where the music is.
I have posts about all these issues and have received some help that I am very great full for but half of it is in language and acronyms that I do not understand so it is just confusing even after reading pages about what it means and what to do, a high level of programming ability seems to be required.
Just wanting to warn people of crippling issues with this version of Ubuntu on this machine, try an earlier version of Ubuntu that is my only option very shortly.
