Hi, I am having trouble with creating a disk image. The error message is:

Error unmounting filesystem
Not authorized to perform operation (udisks-error-quark, 4)

Any ideas?

I have the same problem.

When you have chose to download ubuntu 14.04 lts, there is no ISO images, for desktop, server and this happened to both the 64 and 32 bit versions.

And I have tried the torrents.

Dear Mark Shuttel Worth.

There is a big problem with the downloads.

Are you trying to create a ISO from a installed OS or having problems creating a USB/DVD from a ISO that you have downloaded?

Your problem is different and you should have started a new thread but I just tried the download and it works.

Try this (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/server).

I have downloaded, 32 bit version, the 64 bit version and the server version.

All the zip files have files in them. But no ISO image files.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I have a number of issues to solve so was trying to make a disk image from 14.04 that is installed as a back up if things go wrong while fixing problems.

The link I supplied is the Ubuntu ISO file required to create a bootable USB/DVD. I use Unetbootin (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/using-unetbootin-to-create-a-live-usb-linux/) to flash the USB or Brasero to write the ISO to DVD.

It's likely faster just to backup your /home directory. If you have a USB HD you can make a full HD backup to, you can use Clonezilla (http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-live.php) for that. There is many programs you can use. I really like clonezilla as I can rewrite my HD with 4 OS on it in 35 min. One OS in 10 min.
