View Full Version : Ubuntu Installer Gets Stuck On "Configuring bcmwl-kernel-source (amd64)"

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 14.04 on an older Compaq laptop. I've tried the 64 bit and 32 bit versions. The 32 bit version gets stuck on a similar thing only it says something different in the parenthesis. I've left it for an entire day with this open so it definitely has had more than enough time to install it. I am installing Ubuntu to replace Windows XP. I think that the processor should be able to support a 64 bit system, but as I said, i've tried the 64 bit and the 32 bit versions and get the same result.
Does anyone have any idea of what this is? And how I could fix it?

Thanks
Myles :)

Try again and do NOT check the box "install third party software."
