I had Ubuntu 13.10 and 14.04 beta versions installed as dual boots. When 14.04 LTS release version was available i made a partial upgrade. The partial upgrade was done when i tried to upgrade the 14.04 LTS, since partial upgrade was the only option available.
After partial upgradation, 14.04 is booting and working properly. But 13.10 has stopped booting. When I try to boot 13.10 the booting hangs on a black screen immediately after selecting the option. There is just a blinking cursor. No Hard disk activity noted.
I tried to repair it with ubuntu 13.10 live usb by installing the boot repair. But the problem remains the same.
