Multiple pdf/eps images shown at once on the screen

Dear all,
I have many pictures to compare at the same time and I would see all of them on the screen and not switch between them many times. I am wandering whether there is a shortcut, a software or whatever that allow me to place, lets say, 6 pictures on the screen in a way that each image cover 1/6 of the screen.

I am using Ubuntu 12.04.
