View Full Version : [ubuntu] Gnome 3.12 window overview zoom with scroll wheel regression or optional?

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 and installed Gnome 3.12 using a guide on OMG Ubuntu, called, "How to Upgrade to GNOME 3.12 in Ubuntu 14.04 (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/05/upgrade-gnome-3-12-ubuntu-14-04)". It runs very well.

One Gnome 3 feature I have become reliant on in recent years is window overview. I love it. Up until 3.12, I have been able to zoom in on a window thumbnail one at a time to make any given window almost full screen by using the scroll wheel. In 3.12 however, using the scroll wheel over a window just cycles up and down to different workspaces. Is this a regression? Or is there a way to enable the function I have become dependent on?

The feature I am writing about is documented in the 3.5 docs (https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/3.5/shell-introduction.html.en) but not in the docs for 3.12 (https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/3.12/shell-introduction.html.en).

Thanks for your attention.
